A Crisis at Park Palace Ponies
Yesterday, the heart of our riding school stopped in its tracks. Our beloved boy, Magic, fell seriously ill with colic. After an emergency assessment by our local vet, he had to be rushed by specialist out-of-hours transport to Leahurst Equine Hospital, where he is currently under expert care.
He Brings the Magic—Now He Needs Ours
Magic isn’t just a pony; he is a teacher, a confidant, and a source of pure joy. In our inner-city riding school, he provides "magic" to disadvantaged children who often face tough challenges. He shows them how to be brave, how to trust, and how to dream.
Now, Magic is the one who needs to be brave, and we need to be the ones to provide the miracle.
The Fight for Recovery
Colic is every horse owner's nightmare. Between our local vet’s emergency visit and the specialised out-of-hours transport to the hospital, we have already faced costs of over £1,500 yesterday alone.
The good news is that the specialists believe Magic can be medically managed, meaning we are hopeful he can avoid surgery. However, he must stay at Leahurst for intensive monitoring until at least Tuesday.
Our Goal: £5,000
While we are relieved surgery may not be necessary, the costs of emergency call-outs, transport, and round-the-clock hospital care are still a mountain for a community school like ours. We are aiming to raise £5,000 to cover:
• Emergency local vet fees and medications
• Out-of-hours specialist transport to Leahurst
• Hospital admission and monitoring until Tuesday
How You Can Help
We are a small team doing big work, and today, we are asking for your help to save a pony who gives so much to our city's children.
• Donate: Whether it’s £5 or £50, every penny goes directly to Magic’s bills and his journey back to the kids who love him.
• Share: Please share his story. Let’s show Magic how many people are rooting for him.
Please help us bring the Magic back to Park Palace.
