In just the first 7 days of 2025, we’ve already taken in 5 abandoned strays, each in heartbreaking conditions. It’s devastating. These dogs are suffering, and they’ve been lucky to make it to Leitrim Animal Welfare, but we’re scared for those who haven’t.

In the video, you'll meet three of our worst cases this year so far. It’s hard to believe how much these dogs have been through in such a short time. Each one has a story of pain, neglect, and abandonment.

Without the help of our community, Leitrim Animal Welfare may not be able to keep its doors open. And without us, we shudder to think what would happen to these innocent animals.
