Get Out Now is a grassroots, citizen-run initiative founded by Ben Friedmann, CFA, in honor of his Safta, Holocaust survivor Yehudith Hershkovitz Friedmann.
We are petitioning the Jewish Agency for Israel and Nefesh B'Nefesh to immediately establish a national emergency registry for aliyah: a screener that tells every diaspora Jew, in advance, whether they are eligible under Israel's Law of Return, and gives them a dated credential recording that finding, so that when they need to move quickly, the paperwork is already done.
About 17 to 20 million people outside Israel may be eligible under the three-generation and spouse rules (DellaPergola, World Jewish Population 2024). This is a planning band, not a headcount, and nobody can yet count who is entitled to come home.
Your donation funds:
1. Registry technology: a secure, multilingual screener on the messaging apps people already use.
2. Travel vouchers: point-to-point travel for eligible families who cannot afford to leave.
3. Caravans: temporary housing to absorb new arrivals. Israel's 2022 programme for Ukrainian olim cost about $62,000 per unit.
We are volunteers. We are not affiliated with the Jewish Agency, Nefesh B'Nefesh or the State of Israel, and no arrangement with them exists today. Funds are received by our founder, Ben Friedmann, CFA, and used only for the purposes above. Donations are not tax-deductible. We will post updates as funds are used.
