Emergency Evacuation for Family in Gaza

My name is Melissa and I am supporting Areej to help her family survive. As the dire situation in Gaza worsens with relentless bombings by Israel, my friend, Areej Kassab, along with her family, urgently needs your support. They are in desperate need of food and safety. Areej is having a hard time finding food for her family and she has reported that they are in a desperate situation and needing to find food to survive. Areej and her family are now attempting to evacuate Gaza for Egypt, where they hope to find refuge. However, crossing the border comes at a steep cost—$7,000-US dollars per person, with fluctuating prices daily.

Areej's family is large, consisting of herself, her husband, children (aged 1 and 4), siblings, parents, and extended family. The children, hungry and vulnerable, are suffering due to the scarcity of food. Humanitarian aid is not reaching them, and they desperately require assistance to ensure their basic needs are met. Areej, a 27-year-old English teacher and writer, has been tirelessly documenting the harsh realities faced by her community under siege. She dreams of pursuing further education and providing a better life for her family.
