Help the Cruz Family Through an Unexpected Emergency

I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friends, the Cruz Family, who are going through an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time right now. They are the kind of family who is always smiling, helping others, and doing their best to bring joy to those around them—but this week, everything changed in an instant.

Just yesterday, two traumatic accidents happened only minutes apart.

Their sweet dog Yitsy was hit by a car right in front of their home, immediately after Cruz’s husband fell off the roof while putting up Christmas lights for the family. Everything happened so fast. One moment they were excited to turn on the lights, and the next they were rushing to the emergency vet with their puppy while he lay in pain, unable to move his back and chest.

Yitsy suffered several fractures, and the vet bills started piling up immediately—X-rays, pain medication, overnight monitoring, and multiple surgeries she needs in order to survive. She is fighting hard, but the medical costs are overwhelming.

At the same time, her husband is now recovering from his fall. The ladder slipped, causing him to fall onto the pavement and some outdoor furniture. He was taken to the hospital and is now home resting, but he will be unable to work for the next few weeks, adding even more stress to an already impossible situation.

Between Yitsy’s emergency surgeries, the medical expenses, and the loss of income, the family is completely overwhelmed. They’ve always been the type of people to handle everything quietly and on their own, but right now, they truly need support.

I’m asking on their behalf for help with:

• Medical expenses for her husband

• Lost income while he recovers

• Any follow-up care and treatments needed after Yitsy’s surgeries
