Emergency Aid for the Al-Shareef Family in Gaza

This is an emergency fundraiser for the Al-Shareef family who lives in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in Central Gaza.

Hello! My name is Mari, and I'm based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. I currently run several fundraising campaigns for individuals and families from Gaza. I'm raising money for the Al-Shareef family who are located in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in Gaza. This young family welcomed their first child, a beautiful little girl named Hour, in January of this year. They need your help and support in order to provide for themselves and their sweet baby girl. Please read on and consider supporting the Al-Shareef family.

I was put in contact with Ali Mohammed Youssef Al-Shareef, Hour's father, through his brother, for whom I also run a campaign. Ali and his wife, Nour, have suffered tremendously, with Nour having miscarried during her first pregnancy as a result of the conditions of the war. Here is Ali's story, in his own words:

I am Ali Al-Sharif from afflicted Gaza. Before October 7, my life was far from ideal, but it was comfortable. I worked in a small bakery, earning my living to support myself and my wife. We dreamed of starting a small family and having a child, a child we had long awaited for two years.

When God blessed us and my wife became pregnant, my joy was incomplete due to the war that began on October 7 and the harsh and dire circumstances that followed, starting with the loss of my job and my only source of income due to the bakery's closure due to a shortage of flour and gas. I was also unable to find another job due to an accident I suffered that resulted in a broken back while rescuing an injured person from the bombing of a residential neighborhood. All of this led to a deterioration in my financial situation, the accumulation of debts, and my inability to meet our basic needs in light of the exorbitant prices. As for my wife, who dreamed of our child day and night, she was exposed to danger more than once due to the brutal bombing that targeted all civilians and innocent people in the Gaza Strip. This led to her suffering a miscarriage and losing our long-awaited child.

Despite the ongoing barbaric war, we never lost hope in achieving our dream of becoming a small family. By God's grace, we were blessed once again with a new child, and we were blessed with our little girl, "Hour." However, the suffering continues to worsen, and the responsibility of meeting my daughter's needs for milk, diapers, and clothing has increased, as well as my wife's needs. She needs food and supplements to breastfeed our baby. However, with the scarcity of food, the lack of gas and flour supplies, and the lack of essential nutrients for every breastfeeding woman, we have resorted to formula milk, which has become much more expensive during the war. Diapers, too, have also become more expensive.

So, my friends, I feel extremely helpless, unable to meet the needs of my little girl, who is not yet one year old.
I timidly ask you to provide me with financial and moral assistance to enable me to start my own business, "opening a bakery," where I can work to provide a decent life for my small family. Thank you for your support.

Ali and Nour plan to use all funds raised by this campaign to obtain basic necessities for their survival, and hopefully, be able to pay off their debts, start a new bakery business, and eventually, pay for a home that is in livable condition. Most importantly and urgently, they need to be able to provide for their young daughter so that she can get the proper nutrition and care during this delicate and crucial stage in her life.

I have set up a dedicated bank account for the Al-Shareef family, and all money collected will be held in this account until requested by Ali. Upon request, funds will be transferred to Ali via Western Union.

We truly appreciate your support and contributions. Please consider donating or sharing our campaign, and you are welcome to contact me with any questions you may have!
