About This Crisis

Sri Lanka is facing a severe national emergency. Heavy rains in late November 2025 triggered major flooding and deadly mudslides across the country. More than 50 lives have been lost and many remain missing. Homes, farmlands, and critical infrastructure have been destroyed, and thousands of families urgently need rescue, shelter, clean water, medical care, and food.

Why Your Help Matters

Some of the hardest hit areas are isolated due to damaged roads and landslides, which makes it difficult for local responders to reach them. With Sri Lanka already experiencing significant economic hardship, local communities need immediate outside support to recover.

About SLANE

This fundraiser is organized through the Sri Lanka Association of New England (SLANE). SLANE is a registered 501c3 charitable organization that has supported humanitarian and community initiatives for many years. All donations collected through this campaign will be used entirely to assist families and communities affected by the floods and mudslides. SLANE will work with trusted partners on the ground to make sure that aid reaches the people who need it most.
