Emergency Aid for Single Mom & Her 3 Kids Desperately Needed
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am reaching out with a heavy heart, hoping to find support for my little sister—a single mother of three beautiful children, who is facing an unimaginable crisis. She has been doing everything in her power to keep her little family afloat, but she has reached a breaking point and desperately needs help.
Her 4-year-old son was recently diagnosed with severe autism (Stage 3). He is non-verbal, not potty trained, and requires constant supervision as he does not understand danger or consequences. He has already suffered a broken arm from flailing and self-harming behaviors, and his room has to be carefully childproofed to keep him safe. The two youngest children, ages 4 and 1, do not have fathers present in their lives, and she has little to no family support beyond my mom and me.
On top of the daily challenges of raising three kids alone, she is now facing homelessness. She must be out of her current home by March 1st and has nowhere to go. She has been on the Civida Housing waitlist for years, surviving on AISH, but now she has no money for a damage deposit, moving fees, or even essentials for her kids.
Her current living conditions have been unbearable—mold infestations making her and her children chronically sick, a leaking sink that forces her to wash dishes in the bathtub, and an oven that hasn’t worked for months. Despite repeated pleas to the landlord, nothing has been properly repaired. This is not just a home—it’s a daily struggle for survival.
We are terrified that she will have no choice but to go to a shelter, which would be devastating for her autistic son. He does not adapt well to new environments, and a chaotic setting could put him in serious danger. He does not understand pain or consequences, and without the specialized childproofing she has in place, he will be at constant risk of injury. He needs stability, safety, and a home where his mom can continue to meet his needs.
I am asking for at least $3,500 to cover a damage deposit, moving costs, and to help fill her fridge and buy much-needed clothing for the kids. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this with others—every share brings us closer to a safe home for them.
This is urgent. Time is running out. Please, if you can, help us give this resillent mother and her children a fresh start in a clean, safe home. No child should have to live in these conditions, and no mother should have to face this battle alone.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Sincerely,
-A very worried big sister and auntie
