My name is Elias Alaa Abu Taha.
I am writing from the Gaza Strip, where life has become a daily struggle for survival. My family and I have been forcibly displaced, left without a home after our house was completely destroyed. We are now living in constant uncertainty—without stability, safety, or even the basic comforts that every human deserves.
There are 11 of us in one family, and each day is harder than the last. Hunger has become a familiar pain. Finding shelter is a constant worry. The sound of bombing never feels far away, and fear follows us everywhere. As parents and siblings, we carry the heavy burden of trying to protect and provide, even when we have almost nothing left to give.
Financially, we are exhausted. Meeting our most basic needs—food, shelter, medicine—has become nearly impossible. We are not asking for luxury or comfort, only for a chance to breathe, to endure, and to hold on to hope in the midst of devastation.
Any amount of help, no matter how small, could make a real difference in our lives and help us solve some of the many problems we face each day. Your kindness could mean food for a hungry child, warmth for a cold night, or hope where despair has taken root.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any compassion you can offer.
