Hello family and friends, my name is Malika. I grew up in Boston U.S.A born to Arab and Irish parents, I have been living in Ireland for the past 12 years now. As you know the war in Palestine is on going and has left many including my loved ones with no home and no available source of income. I am organising this fundraiser to raise money for a dear friend and cousin of mine Diaa and his family in Gaza. These funds will be sent directly via bank transfer to Diaa in Gaza. At the moment Diaa is ill and needs our help! He is in need of urgent funds to help pay for medical services and basic necessities such as food and water.

The situation is dire and the prices of food are astronomical. My heart breaks when I think of what they are enduring daily. With your help we might be able to make life a little more bearable for Diaa, for his siblings and parents.

Words From Diaa

I am Diaa, I am from Gaza. I am a student, I have been studying for my diploma in computer engineering. On October 7th my university was destroyed and my right to complete my education like any other young person was taken away from me. We live with the constant horrors of war and are subjected to famine.

My family consists of 12 displaced individuals. We have been living in a tent since my family's business was destroyed. We live in ruins and try to survive with no source of income at all. Our children sleep with empty stomachs. Our house that held all of our beautiful memories has also been destroyed, everything that once was beautiful is gone.

This war has caused me much hardship, in consequence my nose was terribly injured, my teeth broken and my nerves have been damaged. As a result of the injury to my nose, my sinuses and the lower cornea were damaged. I suffered severe infections and a deviated nasal septum.

This injury has cost me so much I have lost the ability to breathe easily. When the house exploded, I inhaled toxic gunpowder and it has destroyed my chest. I can no longer perform daily breathing tasks without difficulty. I suffered a terrible crisis and endured severe distress unlike any other. I ask you to please stand by my side and not to let us down.
