Update 12-16-2025: My medical test results from yesterday afternoon came back last night and things aren't looking good. Going from past experience I'm going to need surgery again (It'll be my third) in the not too distant future. My PSA more than doubled in just 60 days and I failed the blood panel. I have yet to speak with my doctors.
Update 10-18-2025: Jeannine passed away while in hospice care last night. 11-04-1961 - 10-17-2025.
My significant other for the past 10 years is dying from ovarium cancer and has been hospitalized for two months. Estimates are she has 6 weeks or less to live. We've been splitting rent and utilities since we moved in together. I'm on Social Security with Stage IV Prostate Cancer and kidney failure.
I found out two weeks ago her insurance ran out and I can't afford to pay the rent by myself. Next months (November) was supposed to be paid but as of this morning that's not happening. I need to find a place to move to plus hire movers and pay the moving costs. Moving five miles into Senior living one year ago cost us over $6,000 with the security deposit, first months rental and moving expenses.
At the very least I'm going to need around $3,000 to pay the bills for the next two months while I try to find a place to go. This has been a very sudden thing with her vast and extremely swift medical decline. Also, we thought her insurance would cover us at a minimum until early next year. I went to see her tonight in the hospital and she was non-responsive. It's all on me now and I'm in a panic as to how to figure out what to do. I've never been though anything like this before (I'm in my mid-70's) and need all the help I can possibly get.
