Dearest friend, neighbor, family, community, I am writing to you with hopes that you can help me raise funds for my dear cousin Erna. This young, intelligent, loving nurse and mother of one, has fought through so much in the past several years. She’s gone from renal failure to comatose state for several months. God has shown his grace; he brought her back to us. She was blessed to receive a kidney transplant and recovered. Overcoming so many obstacles heightened her desire to excel in life. She’s a graduate nursing student desiring to fulfill her goal of giving to others. Her current job at the hospital is on hold. Today she is in the hospital fighting for her life. It has been a tough 2 weeks for her but things are finally looking up. Though her support system is quite strong we find that there is a need to cover her monthly expenses at home. We are hopeful that we may raise enough funds to cover her mortgage car note insurance utilities and phone so that she may focus simply on recovering and rehabilitation once discharged from the hospital. It would be devastating to see her lose everything she’s worked so hard for. I am reaching out to you because I can’t do it myself. Being sick in the hospital is stressful enough. Coming home to a pile of bills will be exceptionally stressful; please help if you can. The major bills add up to approx $3700/ mo. With your help we can cover at least 2 months.
