On the evening of Friday October 21st, Emmy began throwing up bile, I didn’t think much of it but checked her over. She had a string hanging out of her bum, just a thin one but I brought her to an emergency vet just in case. They successfully got the string out but the vet felt there was something else in her stomach. After X-rays they said there was something metallic in her stomach. The only way to remove it was emergency surgery. She received the surgery and everything went well. They removed a foot long lanyard. The surgery cost $4100. I couldn’t risk letting her pass it naturally because the lanyard was too bulky and long. Anyone who know me, knows this cat is like my child, I love her more than anything. I watched her be born and have had her ever since. She has quite the tortie personality and is just the sweetest, most vocal cat. I have also been off work for the last month dealing with cardiac issues, so it made the financial blow even more devastating.
