Dear friends, family, and community,

We come to you with heavy hearts as we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, Emelia Zaragoza, who peacefully made her transition on April 17, 2024 at 6:59PM PDT, surrounded by loved ones. We are grateful that her passing happened exactly as she wished.

Emelia was more than just a mother; she was the embodiment of compassion, selflessness, and love. Anyone who knew her knows she had a heart of gold. She was the glue who held the family together, and she volunteered at her church and did whatever it took to help others. Even on her last days she was driving to the other side of town to take care of her grandsons. Her heart of gold touched the lives of everyone she encountered, and her legacy of kindness and generosity will forever be cherished.

Being who she was, it is no surprise that she had meticulously prearranged her funeral, burial, and cemetery expenses to ensure she wouldn't be a burden to her children. Nevertheless, there are still financial obligations that need to be addressed, including outstanding balances for funeral and cemetery services of approximately $1,000.00, plus the reception, moving expenses, and short-term furniture storage.

Additionally, any remaining funds will be dedicated to supporting our brother, Raymond, who is disabled and currently has no source of income. This was Emelia's wish—to ensure Raymond's well-being even after her passing.

We humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. Your contributions will not only help alleviate the financial burden on our family but also honor Emelia's legacy of caring for others. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in Raymond's life and help us honor our mother's memory.

Con mucha tristeza les informamos del fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre, Emelia Zaragoza, quien falleció el pasado 17 de abril del 2024 a las 6:59 p.m. PDT, rodeada de su familia. Nos sentimos muy agradecidos de que su partida fue como ella lo deseaba.

Emelia era más que una madre; ella era una mujer llena de mucho amor y compasión, siempre pensando en los demás antes que en ella misma. Todos los que conocían a nuestra madre saben que tenía un corazón muy noble. Ella era la que mantenía la familia unida y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a los demás, ya sea entre la familia, la iglesia o en la comunidad. Incluso hasta en sus últimos días, ella manejeba hasta al otro lado de la ciudad para cuidar a sus tres nietos. Su bondad tocó la vida de todos los que la conocieron, y siempre recordaremos su legado de amabilidad, generosidad y servicio a Dios.

Conociendo como ella era, no es de sorprenderse que ella había pre-organizado meticulosamente los gastos de su funeral, entierro y cementerio para asegurarse de no ser una carga para sus hijos. Sin embargo, todavía existen obligaciones financieras que deben cubrirse, incluyendo saldos pendientes por los servicios fúnebres y cementerio de aproximadamente $1,000.00 más los gastos de recepción, mudanza y almacenamiento temporal de sus muebles.

Una vez que los gastos sean cubiertos, el dinero adicional se destinará a ayudar a nuestro hermano Ramon, quien tiene una discapacidad y no cuenta con ingresos en este momento. Este era el deseo de mamá: asegurar que Ramon estuviera bien incluso después de su partida.

Les pedimos humildemente su ayuda en este momento difícil. Sus contribuciones no solo nos ayudarán con los gastos, sino que también serán una forma de honrar la memoria de mamá y seguir su ejemplo de cuidar a los demás.
