Hello,
My name is Justin C. McGrath, writing on behalf of my beloved uncle, Dave McGrath-Wagner. I wanted to share a heartwarming story with you. Uncle Dave and Uncle Dennis hold a special place in my heart as my favorite uncles. I truly appreciate your time in reading their story.
As many of their friends and family already know, Uncle Dave and Uncle Dennis have spent a lifetime planning, working hard, and patiently waiting to move into their dream retirement home. Uncle Dave, a retired Navy Veteran, is one of the most selfless individuals I have ever known. His dedication is evident through his involvement in various fundraisers for different causes and his commitment to volunteering for community services. One cause that holds a special place in his heart is D4D (Dogs4Diabetics).
With their new home, Uncle Dave and Uncle Dennis had envisioned spending the rest of their lives together. They were excited about this new phase, where they could relax and have more fun. Their plan was to extend warm invitations to friends and family, serving as gracious hosts and sharing their new home through their signature southern hospitality.
Tragically, only seven months after settling into their new home in South Carolina, Uncle Dave received a devastating cancer diagnosis, leaving their plans for a joyful retirement in ruins. This unexpected news came as a shock to Uncle Dave, Uncle Dennis, and their loved ones, leaving them speechless and overwhelmed.
In an effort to assist with the unforeseen expenses that have arisen, I have taken the initiative to create this GoFundMe page, although I am aware that my uncles, driven by their pride, may not have wanted me to do so.
Uncle Dave has always been a beacon of positivity and an incredible role model in my life. By creating this fundraising campaign, I hope to give back to my uncles and offer support during this challenging time in their relationship. It would bring me a sense of purpose to be able to help these remarkable and unique individuals who mean so much to me.
All donations are greatly appreciated. No donation is too small.
Even if you are unable to donate would you consider sharing my story.
From the deepest crevice of my heart,
I thank you.
Wishing each and every one of you the very best of health and much happiness for the new year.
Best,
Justin C. McGrath
