Hey Fam!

I’m fundraising for my bestest doggo, Miss Ember, who needs shoulder surgery.

I’m Sybil, a single mom of 3 teens, two dogs and an epileptic cat.

Ember has been my faithful companion for 9 years, my #1 adventure buddy, fierce protector of children, chickens and cats, spiller of coffee, sneaky garbage hound, and sweet snuggly girl.

She loves to make human friends who give her neck scritches and snacks.

Last summer Ember started limping occasionally. When it kept occurring I took her to the vet, they gave us metacam, said nothing was wrong and sent us on our way.

We continued on for the next few months in a cycle of getting better and getting worse until I finally took her for a second opinion.

Her Xrays revealed that she has severe calcification on her bicep tendon (Bicepral Tendonopathy) It is so advanced surgery is her only viable option.

Ember can only limp a few meters at time due to pain and inflammation. She cannot go up or down stairs or jump up or down on anything.

She deserves to live out her elder years as pain free as possible.

The surgery estimate is landing in the $6000 range.

I have a separation agreement with Embers dog dad that states he is responsible for half the vet bills however after I sent him all her medical information and the surgery estimate he has opted out of paying for anything.

I don’t have the funds to pay for the whole surgery nor to pursue legal enforcement of the separation agreement.
