About 2 days ago, My sweet little niece Ember fell out of high chair, hitting her head on the floor about 3 feet down. She is acting herself, just a little fussy, and a pretty good bump on her head, that has gotten worse over the last few days, so my sister Bailee and her husband Jarrett decided rather to be safe than sorry, and take Ember into the ER.

Results of the ER visit determined, after a cat scan, that she has a very small skull fracture, with a small amount of blood. While we are confident that everything will be okay, the local hospital decided to also be safe rather than sorry, and med flight Bailee and Ember to Oakland children’s hospital to confirm that no surgery is needed, Jarrett driving to meet them there. We are currently waiting for the next steps and results.

Please, PLEASE, be praying for my sister, her husband, and sweet Ember. In addition to this, if you are able and led to help financially, please consider. Med flights are so expensive, and they are a single income household, which makes unexpected medical bills hard.

Ember and bailee arrived at Oakland Children’s hospital, and ember slept the whole flight like a champ. Jarrett met them there shortly after.

She had an MRI that confirmed she does have a small fracture, and some of the blood seeped through and is sitting on her brain. Still no cause for major concern yet, just making sure she’s okay. They will stay overnight to monitor and make sure no surgery
