Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers, Friday April 26th a beautiful baby girl was born into this world. Unfortunately Ember is missing the bottom valve to her heart, that pumps blood to the rest of her body as the umbilical cord that was attached closes. She was born with only 1 kidney functioning, otherwise she was born a perfect angel on earth. Connor (my brother) and his girlfriend Jazmine, Knew early on that sweet Ember wasn't developing correctly. The doctor informed that if Ember did survive, she would need a heart surgery, she would need a transplant by the age of 20, and she would not run and play like other kids. There would be countless surgeries, pokes, tests, and overwhelming pain for her to go through. They made the toughest decision of their lives, to not put Ember through the pain and suffering she would endure for the years to come. Ember was released to come home Sunday, April 28th. The doctors and nurses prepared Connor and Jazmine for what was to come, knowing she would eventually pass away. Today is Tuesday 4/30/24 and Ember is still holding onto life, Hospice is coming in on a daily basis to check her vitals and see how she is doing. In the back of our minds and in our hearts we know that we are only going to have a small amount of time with sweet Ember. This is the hardest thing our family has had to go through, loving a sweet babe only to have to tell her goodbye and see you on the other side.
We are asking for any donation, big or small, anything helps. For her cremation services that will need to take place as soon as god calls her home. If you can't donate, please keep Ember and her parents and family in your prayers, we will need them in the days to come. (All donations are beneficiary to Connor for expenses) Thank you all!
Miranda-Connors sister, Ember's aunt.
