Hello, our names are Glen and Jenna and this was the last thing we wanted to do but I'm reaching out for help us to help save our first dog Ember. Ember just celebrated her 6th birthday this year and after an emergency trip to the vet found out she has a huge mass. She hasn't had any symptoms until Monday evening, it was like a switch went off. After she started trembling, walking slow and stiff, and lip licking, we rushed to the vet to get her checked out. During an ultrasound, they were able to remove 1 litre of fluid from her abdomen, and some from the mass itself. As you can imagine, this is very uncomfortable for her so we have been watching her closely and making sure she is as comfortable as possible. Luckily, the mass doesn't appear to be cancerous, however to remove it, the quote we currently have shows it could reach cost $6000-$10,000. We have been putting money away for emergencies, but could not anticipate something like this and do not have this full amount to cover the cost. We would want to do this surgery asap and won't know what other issues until they go in for surgery. We are not ones to typically ask for help, but this dog means the world to us - anyone who knows Em knows how incredibly caring, sweet, loving and loyal she is and we could never imagine anything like this happening to her. Anything will help offset this huge cost and hopefully save our precious girl. we understand asking for money is a lot especially in this economy, no worries if you can't donate - even if people share this, that would be helpful.
