In June, Kim Schneider was diagnosed with stage 2-3 breast cancer. She started her chemotherapy almost immediately. She is currently undergoing treatments, with a bilateral mastectomy surgery scheduled in November. Through this entire process her positive attitude and smile are always shining! Even with insurance, her out of pocket expenses are well over $10,000. With two surgeries scheduled next year to complete her reconstruction process, she will need to meet these deductibles again. She has touched so many of our lives in so many ways. She is a single, self-employed mom of a busy 13 year old daughter, Samantha. Sadly, in August, Samantha's father passed away suddenly, so now Kim is her sole provider. Kim donates her volunteer time on the Board of Directors of Deltona Little League for the past 2 1/2 years and was the treasurer for the Heritage Middle School Band Parent Association. She is humbled by the fact that so many find her as an inspiration to so many.
