This Go Fund Me is much needed for a Young Mother living on the Northshore in IL, who is in a verbally and financially abusive and violent marriage.

Her plight was made public on The NorthShore Mom's Spot FB Page and we as a strong compassionate and caring community felt her pain. Suggestions and advice on domestic violence resources were provided to her.

I am representing a small group of women in her community who felt compelled to help her leave a very unsafe situation. We are passionate about helping women in abusive marriages and these funds will be dispersed when it is safe for her to take action.

These funds will be used to start her new life, pay for legal costs, get an Order of Protection against him and to provide some funds for her small family until she can get back on her feet. Having volunteered and helped many other women in this same situation, I know how hard this journey will be for her, and we are with her 100% of the way!

Due to the safety issues involved, it is CRUCIAL that she remains anonymous to protect her children and herself. This young mother and her children do not have any of her family here to support her in the US. She is a stay-at-home mom and is financially dependent on her abusive husband.

He has threaten to kill her and hurt her kids, then he comes home and  apologizes to her, giving her hope that things will be different and she is safe. This is TYPICAL ABUSER behavior. 

He has limited her access to funds and her support networks.

Please note that should this young mother decide to stay in her marriage then the money collected will be dontated to a well established charity that already supports women and children who are domestic violence victims.
