Doing this because he won’t. It kills me to even write this… I have sat here wondering not only what to say, but wondering if I even have the strength to express myself properly. I will give it my best shot.

last year our brother was diagnosed with throat cancer. Thomas went through months and months of brutal chemotherapy and radiation. With the support of his friends, family, children and wife Alex he was able to make it through. While he was gone he was not able to work and endured bigger medical bills then you could ever imagine. During the same year he went through other huge expenses caring to his son. Thomas returned to work a few months ago thriving and day by day we are able to see our Thomas come back stronger and stronger. It’s with a heavy heart I say his cancer has returned and much more aggressive. He will not ask for help, but I will not let him fight this battle again alone. We will not let him fight this battle again alone.

I tried to send Thomas home to be with his family when he gave me the bad news. His only concern was his family and wife. He told me he did not want his bills and debts to be a burden to them and he needed to work as long as he could. It absolutely broke my heart to hear the greatest person I’ve ever met in my life, think they could be a burden. I owe you a great debt my brother, the world owes you a great debt. You have touched so many people and added so much joy, happiness and love to everyone’s life who you have ever came in contact with. You have made me a better man, a better friend and most certainly a better father. I am so proud to call you my friend, my brother.

I know Thomas has not only changed my life, but so many others. Let’s show him how much he means to us all of us. We need you, the world needs you. We need you strong, and as stress free as possible so you can do this battle again. You will win, because that’s what you do.
