Onyx is our 7yr old miracle. Onyx was born with DiGeorge Syndrome and had heart defects, at some point Onyx had a stroke that damaged the majority of the left side of her brain. Onyx has done things the doctors said she wouldn't . With an amazing amount of hard work from Onyx and her therapists , Onyx is now saying some words, knows some sign language, and uses a Dynovox and IPad for communication and works really hard on walking, scooting, and positioning to crawl! She has her little wheelchair just mastered. She is so amazing. Onyx is such a happy loving little girl and has taught us so much about life in the way she smiles.Now Onyx is getting bigger than we ever imagined, Onyx needs a wheelchair van. She is getting bigger, heavier, and is outgrowing the car seat. It's not only getting more difficult for us to lift Onyx, but we also worry about Onyx's safety in being transferred safely. Every dollar counts and gets us that much closer to getting her a van. Thank You
