TikTok, an app that almost every middle schooler has access to, was the portal to extortion.

Caleb fell victim to a user posing to be a girl, gained his trust and manipulated him into sending compromising pictures. Once the pictures were sent, they began demanding money. When Caleb begged for them to stop, the threats of releasing the pictures became fierce and did not cease.

He felt so ashamed and lost and the evil on the other end had no regard for this young, innocent boy.

Even during Caleb’s last moments, he thought about his dad and family and sent him a text letting his dad know it was going to be okay.

Please rally behind this family. Support them. Spread the word of the evil preying on our youth.

No amount of justice will bring him back; we have to educate and have tough conversations as parents.
