Leah Rosenthal Final Expenses and to Help Annie

Hi, my name is Ann Wortham, often called Annie. My beloved wife and partner of 35 years left us unexpectedly yesterday April 16 at 11:15 am after heart surgery. I am utterly heartbroken. The kitties are confused and by my side.

Leah was well known and loved in many different media fandoms like Star Wars, Stargate, Highlander, Blakes 7, Supernatural, Marvel, Star Trek, Westerns, and many more for her wacky cartoons. She sometimes did more serious artwork as well. She was published over the years online and in magazines like Starlog. One time the Syfy network even featured one of her cartoons. She loved sharing her artwork and seeing people react. It gave her the greatest joy more than selling the pieces. She exhibited in many convention art shows over the decades some of the biggest being Worldcon and Dragoncon. When she was at Worldcon in LA. Frank Marshall even bid on her art and won a piece to give George Lucas. Many actors loved seeing her portray them in her cartoons and asked if they could have copies. Some of them even bought her cartoons in the art show.

Leah was also well known over the years in the Cat Fancy where we exhibited her beloved Somali cats and my American Shorthairs. For a time we helped run a large cat club where we hosted two shows a year. Although we haven't shown or bred cats in many years we still stayed in touch with many of our cat show friends and went to local shows to see the cats and old friends. We currently have three American Shorthairs and one rescue. The cats are very confused that she is gone.

I don't know what the final medical expenses will be but the hospital bill was already over 180k before her surgery and the ICU aftermath. We do have insurance but of course have co pays. Although Leah grew up Jewish and loved her heritage, We weren't religious so I have decided on a simple cremation for financial reasons and a celebration of her life later. I know Leah would have no issues with this. Money is needed right now for bills, medical expenses and final arrangements. We have now gone from a two income household to just me and the four kitties, our only children. You don't realize how many daily things someone does for you and how many bills they took care of until they are suddenly ripped away from you. We are all devastated.
