Hallo liebe Freunde,

ich bin Ely, eine fröhliche Weimaraner-Hündin, und ich habe das beste Herrchen der Welt! Vor einigen Monaten hatte er einen gesundheitlichen Notfall, und ich bin aus dem Fenster gesprungen und habe die nötige Hilfe geholt. So könnte man sogar sagen, dass ich eine Lebensretterin bin!

Heute brauche ich selber Hilfe.

Beim Spielen im März bin ich unglücklich an die Kante eines Snowboards geraten und habe mir dabei meine Achillessehne angerissen. Zum Glück hat mein Herrchen mich sofort zum Tierarzt gebracht und ich konnte operiert werden. Ich bekam eine Schiene, und mit einigen Wochen Schonzeit sah es gut aus für eine vollständige Heilung.

Aber das war erst der Anfang…

Zwei Wochen nach meinem Unfall hatte mein Herrchen erneut einen gesundheitlichen Notfall, und diesmal konnte ich nichts für ihn tun. In meiner Angst und Verwirrung habe ich mich so aufgeregt, dass ich randaliert und meine Schiene zerstört habe. Das führte dazu, dass ich erneut operiert werden musste, um alles zu reparieren, und sich meine Heilung deutlich verzögert hat.

Ich musste daraufhin auch öfter zum Tierarzt, um sicherzustellen, dass alles gut heilt und keine Infektionen auftreten. Das bedeutet leider auch, dass die Nachsorge und die Behandlungskosten nochmal deutlich gestiegen sind.

Mein Herrchen wurde Gottseidank auch rechtzeitig gefunden und ins Spital gebracht. Er war eine Weile in kritischer Lage, ist jetzt aber auch auf dem Weg der Besserung. Ich bin so froh!! Trotzdem ist es gerade schwierig mit seinen eigenen gesundheitlichen Problemen, und er kann im Moment die hohen Kosten für meine Behandlung und kurzzeitige Unterbringung in einer Hundepension nicht tragen. Allein meine erste OP hat fast 3'000 Euro gekostet!!

Seine Freunde kümmern sich super um mich, so dass es mir gut geht und ich mich endlich auf dem Weg zur vollständigen Heilung befinde. Sie sind für mich auch in die Bresche gesprungen und haben alle Rechnungen des Tierarztes, der kurzfristigen Unterbringung und alles andere, was nötig war, bezahlt. Aber es ist alles so teuer geworden, dass sie es nicht einfach aus eigener Tasche finanzieren können.

Deshalb wende ich mich an euch:

Ich würde mich so sehr über eure Unterstützung freuen, damit mein Herrchen nach seiner Reha einen sorgenfreien Start hat und sich auf seine eigene Genesung konzentrieren kann, ohne sich über meine Gesundheitskosten den Kopf zu zerbrechen. Wir beide sind ein Herz und eine Seele und würden alles füreinander tun.

Hello dear friends,

I’m Ely, a cheerful Weimaraner dog, and I have the best owner in the world! A few months ago, he had a medical emergency, and I jumped out the window to get help. You could even say I’m a lifesaver!

Today I’m the one in need of help.

While playing in the snow in March, I hit the edge of a snowboard and tore my Achilles tendon. Luckily, my owner took me to the vet right away, and I was able to have surgery. I got a splint, and with a few weeks of rest, things were looking good for a full recovery.

But that was just the beginning...

Two weeks after my accident, my owner had another medical emergency of his own — and this time, I couldn’t do anything to help. In my fear and confusion, I got so upset that I panicked and destroyed my splint. That meant I needed another surgery to repair everything, which significantly delayed my recovery.

After that, I had to visit the vet more often to make sure everything was healing properly and that there were no infections. Unfortunately, that also means that the aftercare and treatment costs increased significantly.

Thankfully, my owner was also found in time and taken to the hospital. He was in critical condition for a while, but now he’s on the road to recovery. I’m so happy!! Still, with his own health issues, it’s been really tough, and right now he can’t afford the high costs of my treatment and the short-term stay in a dog boarding facility. My first surgery alone cost almost €3,000!

His friends have been taking amazing care of me, so I’m doing well now and finally on the path to making a full recovery. They’ve also stepped in to cover all the vet bills, the boarding costs, and everything else I’ve needed. But it’s all gotten so expensive that they can’t keep paying for everything out of their own pockets.

That’s why I’m turning to you:

I would be so grateful for your support, so that my owner can have a fresh start after his rehab and focus on his own recovery without having to worry about my medical expenses. We are two souls that belong together and would do anything for each other.
