Elvis Wilson's Slice of the American Dream
Donation protected
Elvis Wilson was happily living the American Dream. He works hard, bought a little piece of land with a home, and loves his family. Elvis and his son, 5-year-old Elvis Jr, love to work the land for farming his fruit trees and sugar cane. His dream turned into a nightmare in Feb. 2021, An electrical fire caused by wild animals that ate through his wiring causing a combustible fire that burned everything to the ground. Luckily, he was able to get his son and himself to safety, but that was it. Where his home sat, is now dirt. The fire burned his three-bedroom home, vehicle, and all their personal items. Now, they only have each other.
Elvis did not have homeowner’s insurance like many in the United States. He lives in a small rural town on top of the national pandemic. Farmers have been hit hard with Covid 19 as many of the necessary tools and assistance they need are limited. As a result, this makes the ability to help those in the community who really, desperately need it not be able to receive the help locally. His neighbors have helped as much as they can. Elvis Jr.’s school did a drive for him, but little was given. The local churches are struggling as well due to Covid restrictions on occupancy right now.
Elvis and his son need a home. The property is there, but it is just dirt now. The fire was in Feb 2021 and he is still without a home. Elvis is the sweetest man, who believes in helping others and taking people at their word. He does not want to ask for help, so I am asking for him and his son. Please donate as much or as little as you can. It is for him and his son to have a home again. Give him back his American Dream he worked 45 years for and is still working. Elvis’s motto is “Money is not for just one person; it is for everyone. My money is my health, strength, and love.” I agree.
