Elton Thompson Navajo Medicine Man

Donation protected

85 year old Elton Thompson, a traditional Dineh healer/shaman from the Navajo Nation, believes in the  old traditional ways and continues to pray for humanity and the world everyday in his sacred hogan in Gallup, New Mexico on the reservation.

On Saturday July 11th, he totaled his vehicle while trying to drive himself to the hospital.  Being ejected through the windshield and rolling his car he suffered internal bleeding, whiplash and is in terrible pain.He has 2 stints in his heart and is waiting for a procedure to be done next week in Albuquerque.6 years ago he was told he wouldn’t survive without a quadruple bypass.
Due to the corona virus and strict quarantine measures on the reservation, Elton is unable to make ends meet. He has been without hot water for the past 5 months because his hot water heater broke.  He has terrible digestive problems because his insurance doesn’t cover dentures. Elton needs our help, a hand up to heal and make it through the winter. ...a couple cords of wood, propane heater, hot water tank, rides to hospital, nutritious food, help around the house and most importantly, our love and prayers.

It takes a community to raise a child and it also takes a community to care for our elders.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping share this precious burden.  So many elders are needing our support, let’s start with Elton make his ends meet and keep it going!!Any help is so appreciated ❤️
