Elexsis Taylor Funding for Leukemia

Donation protected
Elexsis was diagnosed with Leukemia this year at 16 yrs old
One year to a full

recovery, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV
2 hour commute to the hospital in Morgantown, WV from Keyser, WV for her family to visit her daily while undergoing chemo
Family income has decreased due to self employment and time taken off of work, no paid time off for this family
Family has increasing medical bills that are due to the hospital, however those will be addressed after gas, loss of income, basic family expenses to keep this family together during this stressful, painful and scary time.
Finances should not be their number one concern at this time, we can all agree to that

Elexsis has had to learn at an early age what chronic pain is all about. Living with RSD/CRPS for over 2 years has not been an easy, normal
circumstance for a teenager. Thinking that the random bruising and fatigue, which she noticed and mentioned, were just part of her chronic health issue, little attention was paid to what else could be blowing in the wind. Recently waking up to lower back pain on the right side and pain urinating, what would our mom suspect.  A kidney stone can happen to anyone right? After 'dealing with it' all day, not wanting to disrupt her plans for the day, by evening, tears of pain and anguish got the best of her and a trip to the ER was inevitable. 4 hours after several blood tests (hoping that what they saw the first time was a fluke) we waited for 'good' results. The compassionate ER staff at WMHS announced that she needed better clarification from specialty doctors in another, more specialized hospital. Traveling yet farther from home, the results that we were about to receive where heart wrenching and devastating. Leukemia, AML was the diagnosis.

For our parents, leaving the side of this precious daughter to 'go back to work full time' is too much (now a 2 hour drive there, and 2 hour drive back home).  Emotions and pain levels are running high. Many friends and family have asked, 'How can we help?' After much time in prayer and solitude, seemingly all night long, the answer is clear...DONATE.  Donate to lessen the financial hardship that this year will bring, calling the hospital our new home for at least a month, and then 3-4 times weekly for 6 more months, minimum.

We, as the Taylor family, untiringly thank you for caring about us, our sister, her future and showing us support in this challenging part of our journey.

:-) She may have Leukemia, but Leukemia doesn't have her :-)  Please share to anyone who may be interested in helping us reach out goal.... we are getting a bit closer every day.
