To benefit 4 organisations close to our hearts; Lancashire Mind, MSSociety, Jelly Beans Pre School, and Mummy's Star.
We are two mummies that enjoy good health and raising our 6 children (between us!) It's a tough job but it could be so much harder.
Lancashire Mind is dedicated to improving mental wellbeing and resilience in Lancashire, as well as, helping to decrease misconceptions and inequalities for those experiencing mental health issues in the community. There should be Mental Wellbeing for All.
MSSociety is a community of people living with the realities of MS; a debilitating condition affecting the brain and spinal cord. They drive research into more-and better-treatments, and support those living through diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.
Mummy's Star is dedicated to women and their families affected by cancer during pregnancy or soon after having their baby. They hope to provide access to support for these women and their families; giving advice, advocacy on behalf of families, facilitating peer support and counselling for women and families and even providing grants to help smooth the journey of living with cancer as a new mum.
Jelly Beans Pre School is a fabulous provider of early years education in our area, this year a fourth member of our brood will enter their care. Any contribution given to them would be used to invest in and develop their facility further.
We want to raise funds for the fantastic work that these bodies do, and so we've set ourselves a challenge.
Walk 96 miles in the Scottish hills. 7 days hiking from Milngavie to finish at Fort William, taking in Rannoch Moor, the Devils Staircase and Nevis Forest. Each step on this journey will be a step onward in courage, love and alongside those whose day job is even tougher than our own.
Thank you for your support.
