Elsp Shaves The Day

Hey people, so the thing I have been talking about doing for years is finally coming into fruition; on May 28th I will shave my head to raise money for Offene Arme e.V., the charity I am currently working for. Offene Arme is an NGO based on Chios that currently works to distribute clothing alongside other essential items to refugees and asylum seekers currently living in Vial camp. We distribute clothing  through the Distribution Warehouse (The OA) which runs as a boutique/free shop. The aim of this is to ensure that high quality items are distributed in a fair and respectful manner. Each visitor to the shop is able to take a number of clothing items, depending on their age and gender, as well as guaranteed extras such as hygiene items, nappies and blankets. We also support other NGOs on the island by providing supplies like hygiene packs and clothing packs for people suffering from skin infections. With your donations, Offene Arme will continue to be able to provide these essential services while the crisis for refugees on the Greek Islands shows little sign of subsiding. 

I really hope that after reading this you will donate the cost of a pint or two, especially if you're currently finishing university and shouldn't be going out, or if you're like me and have been flung from the safety of furlough into budgeting and cutting out on that extra coffee in the morning. I am aiming to raise at least £300 for the big shave but maybe the more I raise the closer to being bald I'll go? You'll have to join the twitch livestream to find out.
