Please Help Pay For Inga's Burial

On 16 February 2023, the beloved and loving Ingibjörg “Inga” Sigurðardóttir suddenly passed from this world. Our family has suffered an unexpected and tragic loss and we are still in shock and disbelief. As we try to come to terms with this loss, we are faced with the daunting task of planning a funeral.

Inga–who touched so many and inspired so many to live with joy–deserves a proper celebration of her life. Unfortunately, our devastated family is not financially prepared for the expenses that come with the cost of laying our cherished Inga to rest. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help.

Many in her community will remember Inga as a beloved preschool teacher, as well as the Director of the Arts at Leikskólinn Sólhvōrf. She was class of 1991 at Fósturskoli Íslands and always loved working with children–she was a part-time foster parent to three. She is survived by her mother and father, her brothers and sisters, her two children, and one grandson. She was excited about her future grandchildren.
