Elsie Bachman’s Road to Recovery

If you’ve had the pleasure of knowing Elsie Bachman, you know that she is as sweet and genuine as they come. 

She is an incredible daughter to her parents, Tiffany and Lynn, great older sister to her siblings Jacob and Lily, and the best 14 year old cowgirl around.

Two days ago, Elsie was severely injured when her family was working cows.  Her horse was running when it tripped in a badger hole.

Elsie was transported to St Luke’s in Boise and is in the pediatric ICU.

Tragically, the majority of Elsie’s injuries are to her brain.

She has been, and is still, in a coma.

The pediatric neurosurgeon believes she has a diffuse axonal traumatic brain injury. In short it is lots of tiny injuries through out her brain and most likely even in her brain stem.

She has had an MRI, EEG, and will have many other tests over the next few days. Tiffany said they could be looking at weeks in Boise.

Tiffany and Lynn haven’t left her side.

They need to continue to be next to their sweet girl.

They are hardworking ranchers, small business owners, and would give their shirt off their back to any one that needed it.

Elsie has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter. Keep her lifted in prayer every day.
