Elsie and Jessica’s Iron Kids run for Diabetes UK
We are Diabetes UK. Our vision is a world where diabetes can do no harm.
Hi everyone,
Elsie’s friend Jessica was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 8 last July. Since then Jess has had to learn to live with her condition; tackling school, sports, clubs, sleepovers and numerous medical appointments. Type 1 diabetes comes with its complications and from the day Jess was diagnosed she has just took it all in her stride. She’s adapting well and does not let it stop her!
Elsie thinks Jess is a hero ♀️ and is amazed by her resilience and positive attitude to such a big change.
The girls want to give something back so have decided to run in the Iron Kids event this year. They want to raise money for Diabetes UK to help others like Jess ❤️
