Elsa's Dental Surgery
Hi! My name is Elsa. I'm a 2 year-old American Shorthair, and I really need your help!
As you can see, I'm missing an eye. What you can't see, however, is that I'm also deaf and have immune disorders. My mom does her best to take care of me, but it gets very expensive! Right now I'm pretty nervous because I might lose my teeth -- the doctor says I have an infection that's spreading from the back to the front of my mouth. :( My mom tried to take a picture of my teeth, but I didn't feel like smiling, because it doesn't feel very nice.
The doctor says it's something called "periodontal disease". He told my mom that it's common in cats, but he's worried it will spread from the back of my mouth to my other teeth, or that it already might be happening. He needs to take some x-rays and pull the teeth in the back, and my other teeth too if the infection has spread. My mom got really upset, and I did too when he was poking my teeth!
If you could please help me with a donation to stop the spread of my tooth problem, it would make me and my mom so happy! She's working hard right now to come up with the money on her own, but I need my teeth pulled soon so I don't become toothless on top of everything else (plus, how would I eat my favorite treats?!).
