Elsa needs our help to slay the tumor!
Donation protected

hello friends, family and strangers!
My name is molly and my beloved adventure partner and best friend Elsa, has recently been diagnosed with a massive tumor located in her upper chest. The tumor is currently pressing against her trachea and esophagus, which is making it difficult for her to breathe, and needs to be removed and treated immediately. For those of you that know little Elsa, she is a magical and special animal. Elsa was found on the streets of Los Angeles and was lovingly rescued by a local animal shelter. 6 years ago, I found myself at that very shelter and fell in love with the tiny fawn pit-bull that would forever change my life.
Elsa means more to me than anything. I am here asking for donations to go towards the complex surgery and cancer treatments that Elsa needs to survive.
Any donation goes a long way. No matter how small. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. Elsa says woof wooooofy woof woof (thank you all so much for helping me fight this battle! I love you!)

Below is the story of me and her and our journey’s together.
Many of you reading this have met the remarkable Elsa. She has touched the lives of so many people nationwide. Elsa was a street pit bull in Los Angeles that was rescued by the amazing Burbank Animal Shelter in Burbank, California. This is her story.
One day, a very homesick young girl decided that she wanted to go to the local shelter to pet and give love to some dogs. She asked her roommate to come with her. As she walked down the hallway of kennels, she saw a tiny, fawn colored little girl laying against her kennel door. She didn’t bark or jump. But the way she looked at this young girl was unlike any other dog. She looked at her like she recognized her mom, her best friend, her family. When the girl returned with some paperwork in her hand, the pit bull grabbed it and pulled it into her kennel to make sure the girl new she was serious. She wanted to go home with her. The young girl was scared but so in love with the pit bull. They walked together free from the cages and to the front desk where the young girl signed papers, shook hands, and turned to the pit bull and said “I love you, Elsa. Let’s go home. “
Elsa was just as nervous about this new beginning as her new mom but sure that they would work together and become a team. And boy was the little pit bull right.
Each year, the pair grew a little bit older and a little bit wiser. They learned from mistakes and did everything together. Elsa would snuggle her mom every night and her mom would hold her close and tight. The little pit bull and the young girl became an inseparable pair.
As the years carried on, roommates changed, boyfriends changed, but their bond only grew stronger.
One day, the not as young girl, went through a devastating life change. She was so sad that she thought that she couldn’t go on anymore. She thought it would be easier to no longer live. The not as young girl lied in her closet thinking about how to end her life when the little fawn pit-bull snuggled up to her very sad mom. The not as young girl held her dog and cried and begged the universe for the courage to continue. The little dog new she had to help her mom keep going. The little dog licked the tears from the girls face and never left her side. The sad, not as young girl, eventually got up to feed the little pit-bull and to face the outside world to make sure she had her walks. The sad and scared girl got up only for her dog. Her dog made she her mom got up. She made sure she got up every single day. She made her mom continue to live. Because the little fawn pit-bull couldn’t live without the sad not as young girl.
A few weeks past and the dynamic due decided it was time to go on an adventure. Just the two of them. The not as young girl became an apprehensive but courageous woman with her fierce yet gentle companion. They packed up their things and hit the road. They didn’t have a plan. But they knew that they had to drive towards a new life together. The woman and the dog went into the red rocks of Utah to the high peaks of Colorado down to the deep canyons of Arizona. They frolicked in the corn fields of Nebraska and flew through the big sky in Montana. They ran and played and cried and sang to the moon as they grew and grieved and found hope that they could get through anything. The pit-bull and the woman made it to Maine where the woman’s family took them in and helped the due get back on their feet, all 6 feet.
The woman decided to head back west but go alllllll the way north to wild of Washington. The pit-bull was apprehensive and not sure but knew she couldn’t leave the woman’s side. They had made a pact after all. They loaded the car back up and hit the road to their next adventure. The little pit-bull looked over at her mom lovingly as she very poorly sang to the radio.
Two years went by in the evergreen state in a flash. The woman had some difficult times but got through them with the support of the little pit-bull. The woman was so grateful for the pit-bull. She couldn’t believe the adventures they had shared and loved her little baby more than she could say. They didn’t always get along but they always had each other’s back. They were bonded for life.
One day. The woman noticed her little one not acting the same. She held the little pit-bull close and the pit-bull looked her the woman in a way she had never seen before. The pit-bull, who had always taken care of them woman, looked up in fear. The woman was terrified. Something wasn’t right. A few days went by and the little pit-bull began to suffer. The woman began to panic. She picked up her precious companion and hurried her to the doctor. “Spare no expense for my baby. She is all I have” exclaimed the woman. The woman tried to be strong but she cried and she cried and she wailed and she screamed as she watched the most important being in her life suffer. They didn’t sleep that night. The woman checked the little pit-bulls heart rate every few minutes. She prayed to god to protect the little pit-bull. She begged and she pleaded and she apologized for her wrong doings. The pit-bull lay gently in the sobbing woman’s arms.
The woman thought back to the closet when she wanted to die. She remembered when the little pit-bull crawled in and refused to leave her side. She remembered how the pit-bull got her back on her feet. The woman took a breath and looked down at the panting angle in her arms. 6 years had passed in the blink of an eye. She wondered how time had passed so quickly. Now the little pit-bull was lying in the closet and the woman had to crawl in to save her.
As the sun rose, the woman told the pit-bull she was going to try and sleep so she could take her back to the doctors as soon as they opened. The pit-bull closed her eyes as if to agree. They slept for a few hours and then the woman collected their things and brought her precious companion back to the vet.
CANCER.
what.
Tumor.
No.
Cancer.
The woman gasped for breath as the pit-bull lay at her feet. “No” the woman thought. “How could this be happening!?”
The pit-bull was scared. Why was her mom so shaken up about her. She knew she wasn’t feeling well but what was so bad?
The woman asked the doctor questions and for advice.
Fight.
She can overcome this.
Fight.
The woman was overwhelmed. How do we fight cancer. The vet handed her information and tissues and the woman was left with insurmountable fear and devastation. She looked at her dog lying on the floor and got up out of her chair and laid down next to her dog. They were one. They were so tightly woven together that nothing could have torn them apart. The woman held her dog and out of her mouth came the words
“I will not give up on you. We just have some work to do.”
The pit-bull looked at her mom the way her mom looked at her in the closet. She was desperate to get help to stand up and keep going.
Courage.
Love.
“I love you elsa.” The woman said over and over and over. “I love you. I will not let you down. We will fight this together as we have fought everything else.”
Together.
Team.
The woman called to the universe and the universe showed up. They showed up with hugs and flowers. Food and wine. They showed up ready to fight along side the woman and the pit-bull. Friends and neighbors surrounded the woman and the pit-bull in a wreath of strength and hope. They then came up with a plan for the little fawn pit-bull.
Friends, family, strangers. My name is molly and I am the woman in this story. I adopted Elsa at the Burbank animal shelter in Los Angeles when I was 23 and Elsa was only 1. I am 29 now and Elsa is 7.
Elsa has cancer. Elsa has a tumor in her chest that is now putting pressure against her trachea and esophagus. She needs treatment immediately and we need your help. Elsa has touched the lives of millions of people via her buzz feed videos as well as strangers during our road trip Adventures.
Fighting this disease is expensive and I need help. We need help. Please donate whatever you can to the magical little fawn pit-bull that has made the world a better place.
