Hello dear friends and family,
It’s Heather and Kingston.
It is with great sadness and hope, that we share the news with you that Elsa Bubbles, our sweet love puppy, has large cell lymphoma.
Chances are…if you’ve had the pleasure of meeting her, you’d know that she has the gentlest soul. Her magnetic charm would make you smile within seconds at the sight of her butt wiggles and smile. She’s the little sister to Kingston, plugger to show her fondness for you, cuddler, composter, master tooter, loudest snorer, observer, my road dog, and zen companion. She’ll let you know when to be present by pawing at your leg, or firmly placing her chin on your lap or shoulder to remind you. She will kiss your tears away.
Elsa came into our lives when she was 8 weeks old in 2020. We knew by her eyes and vibrations that she was going to be part of our little family.
It’s so hard to imagine life without her. But alas, here we are. After discussing the pros and cons with our oncologist, chemotherapy seems to be the best option to treat her illness. One of her plans is not so agressive but conservative and yet …costly. The targeted plan is estimated to be about 6,000-8,000K. I know it’s a long shot, but it could give us more time with Elsa, at least until September. She is still very vibrant, and all of her vitals are good. She has atypical symptoms.
The chemotherapy will slow down the growth of the cancer but will not cure it. It would give us more time with her…to go on more adventures, more cuddle time. If left untreated, she’d be with us for weeks. If we treated her with chemotherapy, there’s a chance of remission.
If you can donate in any amount to help us through this journey, Elsa, Kingston, and I would greatly appreciate it. All of your donations will help offset the cost of her medications and doctor visits.
As always, thank you for being part of our village.
Peace and light,
Heather, Kingston, and Elsa
