Hello, my name is Haley and this morning I got news of yet another surgery my sweet baby dog needs. I adopted her in March of 2019 from a Los Angeles animal shelter. Within the past four years of life with her, we have incurred roughly $20,000 in medical bills as a result of 8 (or more) surgeries. I made the decision awhile back not to put her through any more surgery or treatment that isn't absolutely critical, but today another surgery has been scheduled. We went in today thinking it was just going to be the removal of a small cyst, but it turns out the cyst is a symptom of an underlying infection due to her previous knee surgeries. She needs to get plates removed from both knees to remove the cause of the infection on one knee, and prevent future infection in the other. The total estimate for this surgery is around $8000, and I'm hoping to raise at least a portion of that.
