Elodie Farms Urgent Senior Care Fund

Dear farm friends,

As you know, our goats aren’t just farm animals—they’re part of our family. Ted and I have dedicated the past 8.5 years to caring for these incredible animals, and we’ve worked full-time, on and off of the farm, to provide for them. Of course, always with the help of our farm volunteers.

While we’ve always worked hard to provide the best care possible, the growing costs of senior goat care have become more than we can manage alone at times. We are committed to making their retirement years the best they can be, but right now we need your help.

Our most urgent need is covering the cost of surgery for one of our senior goats, Clementine, which is critical to her well-being. If you've been to our farm, you more than likely have met her as she's one of our friendliest and most affectionate goats. She needs removal of multiple fractured teeth that are painful and prevent her from eating. Her prognosis is otherwise very good. She's currently at VA Tech Large Animal Hospital and we hope to bring her home early next week.

How Funds Will Be Used:

**Urgent Surgery**: Covering the cost of dental surgery including 10 days of hospitalization for one of our senior goats, Clementine. Estimated cost: $5,000 - $6,000.

**Post-Op Care**: Follow-up vet visit, special post-op diet, and pain management for 2 - 3 weeks. Estimated cost: $500 - $1,000.
