Elmhurst is coming together to feed our First Responders at Elmhurst Hospital, Elmhurst Police Department and Elmhurst Fire Department.
At the start of this endeavor, the goal was to feed First Responders and help out some of our favorite neighborhood establishments - Riley's Gathering Place, HB Jones and Culvers-Lombard were contacted and immediately stepped up to the plate - they will they prepare and deliver individualized meals to our First Responders at below market prices for this project.
In speaking to a contact at the hospital, blocks of 30 meals will feed an entire single unit, so it's our intent to begin sending meals as soon as funding reaches that threshold.
