Help Elmer and Sue start over
Donation protected

Our retired parents, Elmer and Sue (Glenda) Middleton, lost their home in the August Complex Fire. They were out of the area when the evacuation orders were issued and were not allowed back in to retreive any items from their home of 15 years. Their primary residence, their vehicles, Dad's heavy equipment, Mom's leather and sewing shop, the solar power epuipment, water pump and lines, everything lost. They are starting over again on a fixed income with virtually nothing. Right now they can't even stay on the property until it is cleared of dangerous waste. Dad is a retired (one armed) tree faller and Mom was working part time to supplement their income until she was let go due to the corona virus. They worked hard their entire lives and in one day they went from fairly comfortable retirement to starting life over from scratch in their 70's. Please help if you can. Every little bit helps. Thank you, Karen (Middle child)
Our parents are some of the *most* hardworking people and always set the example for me of work ethic, responsibility, and generosity. Most of the structures on their little place were built by them with a dream... They spent 14 years building this place up, before making it their sole residence 15 years ago, literally cutting the trees themselves and milling their own lumber right there on site, to build this dream with their own two sets of hands. They installed their own solar panels and creatively plumbed in their own spring fed waterline and plumbing system. This fire burned so hot that there is nothing left to start with. *NOTHING.* I sincerely thank everyone who has donated so far, shared, or prayed for them. You are appreciated beyond words.
