Elma’s Cancer Treatment & Expenses

Hi Everyone!

Thank you so much for clicking this link. Whether you know my mom or heard about her story through a friend of a friend, I’m so thankful you’re here.

1/4/24 UPDATE:
Hi everyone. Thank you for following along this journey with us. We have two huge wins to update you all. My mom is safely recovering in a nursing home with full time care and OT and PT daily. It is a medical covered facility so we are so thankful for the care but eager to get her moved out and into a clean environment with her family. On Friday 12/29/23 my mom finally had her CT scan for the spot radiation review. If you know us, you know we’re very hesitant towards western medicine for cancer treatment. We’re so thankful for the progress of research and that SPOT radiation is an option. I appreciate your tact ahead of time in monitoring what you think is necessary to share with us. Right now, positive encouragement is welcome! All else will graciously be dismissed.
She will begin a five day treatment (business days) this Thursday 1/4/24 and will remain in the nursing home through her recovery. We’re expectantly praying for a smooth treatment period and a swift recovery. Our goal is to have her move out of the nursing home on her 60th birthday 1/24/24! Golden year, baby! The year for healing!!! We’re still in a “day by day” waiting period, as we don’t know how her body will react to the treatment. Our hopes are, once she moves out of the nursing home, she’ll be strong enough to either go to the Gerson facility or practice the Gerson method and go to Dirk Yow’s PIOH facility. This is what healed her in the past two battles against cancer (that she won). Your donations will continue to fund her healing and these future treatments. She is not working and likely won’t be for the foreseeable future. We’ve applied for Medicaid and social security and disability. Even so, none of this would be possible without your generous support and we cannot thank you enough.
I will update as we know more.
Thank you and God bless all y’all!

12/12/23 UPDATE:
My mom was in severe pain on Thanksgiving. It progressively got worse over the weekend and we took her to the ER. By the Tuesday following thanksgiving we were saying our goodbyes. Doctors let us know that the tumors had grown and spread and cracked her 12th vertebrae in her spine and her shoulder, hence the excruciating pain. They did everything to make her more comfortable. Once they were able to manage her pain and got her on estrogen blockers, they were able to determine a plan of action.

It has been over two weeks at the hospital but we have hope! She now is a candidate for spot radiation after numerous MRIs and CT scans and lots and lots of consultations, sleepless nights, and long days.

Thank you to my boss, Maryanne Hibner, and my whole team for allowing me to be so present with my mom while we navigate this.
We are awaiting a full time care facility to accept her medical insurance for her to begin any treatment. The treatments recommended are only outpatient treatments.

We found out tonight that a facility has accepted her but I am hesitant to celebrate until she is relocated. This is the second time they found one but resources are slim and they didn’t work out. Tomorrow 12/13/23 we will know if she can begin outpatient treatment at her potential new care facility.

Once she finishes treatment and is deemed, “not a fall risk,” she will move in with me. We are currently looking for a new place for both of us as I live in a small studio.

Her long term goal is to get strong enough to do the holistic journey and beat this once and for all. I believe she will. But for now we are SO thankful for new science and new resources. If any of you donated with the intention that your money be used for the Gershen Clinic ONLY, then please contact me and I will refund your money with my thanks for your support. Otherwise, if you donated to help with any of the many costs associated with helping my mom in her treatment and goal to wellness, know that we will use it for that, and we greatly appreciate your love gift! I will do my best to keep everyone updated. I appreciate your prayers and patience.

A little background:
My mom is a two-time cancer survivor. She is no stranger to the holistic fight. Through juicing, coffee enemas, PIOH, clean eating, supplements, and lots and lots of research, in 2014 she was able to get her body to alkaline. Cancer thrives on acidity and cannot live in an alkaline state. By doing this, the tumor encapsulated itself and doctors were able to do a mastectomy and remove it.

Later, in 2020, another tumor formed in her armpit. She began the same practices but this time through intercessory prayer, she woke up one morning and was miraculously healed. Doctors could not find any trace of cancer in her follow up appointments.

On September 13th of 2023 she was diagnosed with the return of her breast cancer. The relapse automatically places it in a stage four category. This time the diagnosis was in the left hip, on her spine in every vertebrae, on the liver, in her right ribs, in her sternum, in her lymph nodes, and polyps in her lungs. Doctors have advised that chemo and radiation are not an option as they will weaken the bones where the cancer was diagnosed.

I’m so grateful for the community with have that has been rallying around us to support my mom through this. Her amazing company, United Medical Fitness, even put on a fundraiser walk that has allowed her to go this long on holistic treatment. Shortly after she decided to take medical leave from work to focus on healing. I want to thank all of my family and her friends who have driven out to Menifee to support her, offered funds or subscriptions, and have just been emotional support systems to her.

She knows how to beat it, we’ve done this before. We’ve prepared the same diet (and then some), done the same treatments, and even found incredible new resources here in San Diego that have helped her body fight cancer naturally. Thanksgiving weekend we’re moving her in with my aunt and I’m so expectant that the Lord is going to continue working miracles in her body.

With that being said, since the diagnosis was so strong, she’s had a harder timing fighting the cancer this go around. I want to do everything in my power to help her heal. There is an incredible, full-service treatment facility in Tijuana, Mexico that knows how and does everything we’re trying to do and more. They run blood test and have licensed doctors on staff to monitor her progress. The treatment is $6,000 a week and cancer patients are required to stay a minimum of two weeks. I’m hopefully expectant and asking for your help to send her to treatment for three weeks and travel expenses. Please help me heal my mama. I love you all so much and am so thankful you’ve read this far. Please share this story with as many people as you possibly can. God bless you!!!

If you’re not comfortable using this method, her Venm0 is @Elma-Chaco
