Elm Unit - Trafford General

Please support and sponsor us in participating in a ward walk raising funds for the ELM Unit based at Trafford General Hospital.

We care for elderly patients who are recovering post operatively from a fractured neck of femur and are admitted to the unit to support them post surgery for an assessment period to enable them to go home or for further support in the community.

On ELM we work as a team to promote independence and socialisation as much as possible as we understand being in hospital can feel isolating for some.

We are raising funds to be able to continue celebrating events with our patients that unfortunately come at a small cost. Some events we have hosted the past year: valentines afternoon tea, Easter egg hunt, bingo (with prizes), funds to support with arts and crafts, cooling down in summer with ice creams and ice lollies for the patients, entertainment/singers to visit the ward.
