On May 29th the Perlman’s took Elly in for an on again off again pain in her arm, little did they know this visit would send their five year old daughter to the hospital. On Monday, June 1st after a bone marrow biopsy it was confirmed that Elly in fact had Leukemia. Elly has been at Levine Children's Hospital since May 30th and is set to be released on Sunday June 7th after her second chemotherapy session. Elly will receive chemo every Friday for the month of June, after which she will be re-tested to see if Leukemia is still present. This month is only the induction period and will be the toughest part of her 2.5 year journey on becoming cancer free. Elly has already shown us she is truly a #princesswarrior.
Due to the overwhelming out pour of support, we have set this page up for The Perlman's. All contributions made through this page will be allocated for family meals, groceries, gas, medical, and other expenses that occur related to Elly's battle. Any additional funds that exceed their needs will be either 1)put into a college fund for Elly OR 2)donated to Levine/Leukemia or another organization to help others in similar situations.
Thank you all for the help and support during this difficult time. Please continue to keep Elly, Russ, Amy, and Chase in your thoughts and prayers.
