Our fundraising journey so far...
Getting the wheels in motion:
The first stage of the project is to have a feasibility study undertaken, to assess the suitability of the proposed facility/location.
19th June, Gordon Park Wheelathon I (project fundraising kick off event): 20 of our younger quines and loons clocked over 280 laps - 169 km - around Gordon park in only 30 minutes - helping us achieve our first £1000 target. Brilliant effort young 'uns! A massive boost to our feasibility study cost.
An extra thank you to the parents and community who showed so much support towards our first event, and those who gave up their time to help set up, marshal or tidy away. Could not do it without you!
Next steps:
26th June, Gordon Park Wheelathon II: Our older bunch of club kids are going to try add to our total and take on their own Wheelathon challenges between 10- 11. Let's see what they can achieve!
Note to donors: currently our beneficiary is set to Ythan CC treasurer as we set up the Ellon Wheel Park project's own account. All donations will go towards the development of the Ellon Wheel Park community facility.
