ElliTe Studios Bike to Burgos

Donation protected
Hello,

This year, a group of talented young dancers (along with their families, friends, and teachers) from ElliTe Studios in Wakefield are embarking on an exciting challenge to raise the funds needed to represent Team England at the prestigious Dance World Cup in Burgos, Spain. To achieve this, they’re cycling their way to Spain—literally!

With 95 dances qualified, the 100-strong dance team is working incredibly hard, practising countless hours at the studios. They are busy perfecting their world-class routines in the hope of bringing some medals back to Wakefield. As you can imagine, the costs associated with entry fees and costuming alone run into the tens of thousands of pounds. Now, they need your support to help them achieve their dream of competing on the world stage. But instead of simply asking for donations, we have decided to go the extra mile (quite literally) and cycle the 1,203 miles from Wakefield to Burgos.

Below is a summary of the tour 'Stages':

Stage 1 - Duathlon to Dover (306 miles)
Two ElliTe Studios dance mums, Sally and Fiona, will start the tour with their own personal challenge. Using a combination of stationary bikes and running, they will cycle/run the full 306 miles from Wakefield to Dover. This is no small feat—it’s a true test of their resilience, athleticism, and dedication to getting the tour off to a flying start!

Stage 2 - Trinity Walk Cycle (100 miles)
The cycle team will be at Trinity Walk (Wakefield), cycling 100 miles on stationary bikes—taking the tour from Dover, across the English Channel, and into France. This will be an opportunity for the ElliTe Studios dance community to not only add more miles to the tour but also showcase the hard work and commitment they have for dance and representing Team England at the Dance World Cup.

Stage 3 - Stationary Studio Cycle (787 miles)
The dancers, dance teachers, and families will be jumping on the saddles of stationary bikes, getting their heads down, and cycling the longest part of the tour. Over a week, they will rack up the miles needed to get the tour from northern France to Spain. This part of the tour will be long and arduous, but together, we can do it!

Stage 4 - Final Miles to Barnsley (10 miles)
A team of cyclists will take to the road to cycle the last 10 miles from ElliTe Studios to Barnsley Town Centre. A welcome party will be there to celebrate the end of the challenge and once again showcase and promote ElliTe Studios’ incredible achievement in representing Team England on the world stage.

We’re asking for your generosity to help raise funds for our journey to the Dance World Cup. Whether it’s a small donation or a larger contribution, every penny counts and brings us one step closer to Burgos. In addition, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could share this fundraiser with your network to help spread the word.

Your support not only helps ElliTe Studios attend this world-class event but also fosters the growth and development of young dancers who are committed to their art. By supporting them, you’re helping to ensure they have the opportunity to shine on the global stage and their talents be rewarded with a haul of medals!

No donation is too small, and we’re incredibly grateful for anything you can give.

With endless thanks,
Joanne, Leah & Nicola (Peloton Leads)
