Ellis - McDonald House Fire
Donation protected
Hi community. Last night the unimaginable happened when the Ellis-McDonald household woke up to their smoke-filled home and saw the carport on fire. They were forced to evacuate immediately, leaving everything behind in the middle of the night.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but not before extensive smoke, fire, and water damage occured. Their family vehicle was destroyed, as was Suzi's, and they are currently unable to retrieve any of their belongings (though it appears most things are damaged beyond repair). They are currently safe, with only burns to Suzi's foot.
The insurance evaluator said today they are in the beginning of a very long process. Anywhere between 6 months to 2 years before they can return to their home. In the meantime, we are looking to support them in rebuilding their lives. This fire leaves 3 adults, 2 children, and their family pets displaced from their home. Anything you can contribute to help is beyond appreciated.
Will update when more information is available.
