Spread The LOVE - Helping Elliott

Elliott Llewlleyn (parents: Adam and Alison Llewellyn of Mt Sterling) was born with Jacobsen Syndrome. Jacobsen Syndrome is a condition caused by a loss of genetic material from chromosome 11. The symptoms of Jacobsen Syndrome vary, but for Elliott, the two most significant complications of this syndrome are that he was born with 1 kidney and with a heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).
This is defined as a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart and the left side of the heart doesn't not form correctly, therefore can't pump oxygen-rich blood to the body properly.

Elliott has had 2 heart surgeries and was due for for another one in Spring 2018. Unfortunatley, complications with decreased heart function in the Fall of 2017 has made the medical staff realize that he is no longer a candidate for the surgery he needed.

On 11/30/2017, the DR's listed Elliott on "the list". He will undergo a heart transplant once a heart becomes available. The medical staff expects for the wait to be anywhere from 3-6 months, Elliott will remain hospitalized during that time.

Elliott is hospitalized in Children's Hospital in STL, which is almost 3 hours away from where this family lives. We are raising money to help his parents with travel expenses & ongoing medical bills.
