Elliot's Story: Last Chance at Life

Donation protected
Elliot is a 9 month old Cane Corso who was never given a fair chance at life.  Elliot, like too many dogs, was purchased from a pet store (California Pets).  Pet stores are the number one place puppies bred in puppy mills are sold.

Like other pet store puppies, Elliot was extremely unhealthy when he was sold for thousands of dollars to an unsuspecting young couple.  As Elliot grew, it was evident to his new family that something wasn't right.  Because of impromper breeding, Elliot suffers from a genetic disorder: Grade 4 Luxating Patellas.

Grade 4 Luxating Patellas are EXTREMELY PAINFUL!!!  They cause disfiguration and bone-on-bone rubbing in the knee.  The pain has been described as trying to walk with razor blades in your knee joint!!!

All of a sudden facing $5,000 in orthopedic surgeries or the agonizing, painful crippling of their puppy, Elliot's new family had a really tough decision to make.  Either go into extreme debt or humanely end the suffering of sweet Elliot.  They chose to surrender Elliot with the intention of euthanizing, until Last Chance at Life All Breed Rescue stepped in.

Elliot was accepted into the very special adoption program with Last Chance at Life.  LCAL is on a mission to say "yes!" to the animals who need us the most. We say yes to the animals who have the impossible stories.  LCAL provides medical attention and behavioral training to the most "helpless" cases.  So sweet Elliot will receive the surgical procedures he so desperatly needs, and after he heals will be adopted to his new forever family. <3 <3

Elliot's medical road to healing is going to be a very long, intricate one.  He will require at least 2 major surgeries with a board certified orthopedic veterinary surgeon.  Elliot's doctors are estimating at least $5,000 in medical procedures to ensure Elliot has the life he deserves.

Please donate today to help Elliot.  Every dollar raised goes directly to the medical expenses incured by saving these amazing animal's lives.  From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your help!!!

“If you consider that we cannot save them all and what difference does one make? You ought to know the joy of the one who is saved.”
