Elliot's Cancer Battle

On August 6, 2020 Elliot Mayo learned that he has a rare cancer in his bile duct. We are being told that it is very difficult to treat. It's hard to get to with surgery and chemo and radiation may only give him a couple more months. As of now he has been given 1 year until this evil cancer will take his life. We are only in the beginning stages of this fight. He is currently being treated at Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire.  We will be headed to Boston soon to get a second opinion. He can be home, but is unable to work and has had to take an unpaid leave of absence. I am his longtime partner and caregiver, Heidi. I am a self employed hairstylist. I will be doing my best to keep my business going during this difficult time but unpaid time off to go to appointments, consults, and simply care for Elliot will be unavoidable. Any help we can get at this time is immensely appreciated. Elliot and I are not usually ones to ask for help or reach out, especially when it comes to finances. This is a very humbling experience, but we realize we will need help. Any amount given is beyond appreciated. The love and support Elliot has already received is overwhelming and amazing! We know he's a fighter and we will do all we can to fight this.
